Quotable
Sacramento Monarchs Head Coach Jenny Boucek, July 1, 2007 at Sacramento
How does it feel to be the coach for the All-Star team?
"This is obviously an honor for the team. This team coaches itself and I'm here to support them, help them, and serve them in any way that I can. This is totally about them, not me. This is an honor, but definitely for them. I don't see this as an honor for me whatsoever. I'm going to represent them as best I can when I'm down there. I have a great assistant coaching staff that has been part of this champion team for years now. This is definitely not about me."
How did you feel about tonight's game?
"They are so beat up right now and they would never tell you that. They are not ones to make excuses, they're champions. I could tell you that they are beat up right now and they are mentally exhausted, they have been for the last few games. They showed, yet again, that they have so much heart, it's unbelievable."
Minnesota Lynx Head Coach Don Zierden, July 1, 2007 at Sacramento::
Lately your team has beaten some very tough teams. What has changed since the beginning of the season?
"We're starting to play a little bit better. We're a young team so we're going to have a lot of ups and downs. But every game for us is a learning experience. When you have the opportunity to play a great team like Sacramento you have to learn from your mistakes and hopefully improve the next time you play them. And when you have a lot of young players it's important to learn from mistakes - and we made a lot of mistakes tonight."
