2007 Sacramento Monarchs
DeMya Walker Update
On June 2, versus the Los Angeles Sparks, Walker injured her right knee with 4:12 remaining in the first quarter at ARCO Arena. She underwent a MRI which confirmed a patellar tendon tear to her right knee. She is expected to be out for the remainder of the 2007 season. Walker will undergo further evaluation and be scheduled for surgery at a later date.
Home Sweet Home
With a win at their Home Opener on June 2, the Monarchs set a new franchise record for consecutive home games won with 10. The current streak began with an 82-61 victory against Indiana on June 25, 2006.

The Monarchs are currently 1-0 (1.000) for the month of June. The Monarchs all-time record in June is 49-55 (.471). Traditionally the Monarchs fair better in the months of July (67-55, .549) and August (43-29, .597).
SOLD OUT!
For the sixth consecutive season, the Sacramento Monarchs sold out for their Home Opener. The Monarchs continue to own the longest Opening Night sell-out streak in the WNBA.
Now That's Offensive
On May 22, 2007, the Monarchs pulled down a franchise record 25 offensive rebounds, breaking the previous record of 21 set in 1998.

Monarchs/Silver Stars Connections
Silver Stars forward Erin Buescher was a member of the 2005 and 2006 Sacramento Monarchs team. During her time with Sacramento, Buescher was awarded the 2006 WNBA Most Improved Player Award.
Monarchs Head Coach, Jenny Boucek played for Silver Stars Coach Dan Hughes during her playing career in Cleveland.
Boucek was the assistant coach for the Miami Sol and Seattle Storm. During that time, she coached now Silver Star, Ruth Riley and Silver Stars Assistant Sandy Brondello.
Silver Stars television analyst Chantelle Anderson is a former member of the Monarchs from 2003-2004.
Silver Stars guard Shanna Crossley (Zolman) ('06) and Monarchs guard Kara Lawson ('03) graduated from Tennessee.
Ticha Penicheiro and Agnieszka Bibrzycka both spent the 2006-2007 off-season with Spartak in Russia, winning the Russian SuperLeague in May 2007.
