
Sacramento Kings Recall Hassan Whiteside

RENO, NEV.- The Sacramento Kings have recalled second-year center Hassan Whiteside from the Reno Bighorns of the NBA D-League.
Whiteside (7-0, 235 lbs.) was assigned to the Bighorns on January 1, playing 11 games with the team with averages of 7.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in 18.9 minutes per game. His time with the Bighorns was highlighted by his game on January 13 against the Sioux Falls Skyforce when he posted 15 points and 10 rebounds. He also had two games where he recorded a Bighorns season-high six blocks.
Whiteside was drafted by the Kings in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft out of Marshall. This was Whiteside's second assignment to the Bighorns. Last season, he averaged 4.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 14 games.
