
SaberCats WR Bakari Grant Joins 49ers

SAN JOSE - The San Jose SaberCats today announced WR Bakari Grant has been placed on league exemption after signing with the San Francisco 49ers.
"We had high hopes for Bakari heading into the 2011 season," said Head Coach Darren Arbet. "His signing with San Francisco shows the level of talent that he possesses and we wish him the best of luck."
Grant (6-4, 195) was added to the San Francisco 49ers practice squad following the promotion of RB DeShawn Wynn and S Chris Maragos to the 53-man roster, Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Grant was originally signed to a two-year contract on May 3, 2010 by San Francisco before being waived on August 29. Grant signed with the SaberCats on September 21.
The ArenaBowl XVI, XVIII and XXI champion, San Jose SaberCats, return to the Arena Football League for their 15th season starting in 2011.
