
SaberCats Host VooDoo on Saturday Night, Can Potentially Clinch Playoff Berth

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats (10-6) are looking to finish the regular season strong, following their massive 75-61 win on the road against the Chicago Rush (9-6) in Week 17. The 'Cats are set to battle the American Conference's Southern Division leaders, the New Orleans VooDoo (8-7) on Saturday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. PT from HP Pavilion, in a battle for playoff positioning.
San Jose is currently in the fourth and final spot in the National Conference's playoff race. Four teams; the Utah Blaze (10-5), the SaberCats, the Rush and Spokane Shock (8-7) are all fighting for just two postseason spots. San Jose currently holds head-to-head tiebreakers over all three teams. The two teams last met in 2008, when the VooDoo dominated San Jose 72-43 in the Big Easy on April 5.
