San Jose SaberCats News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The Arena Football League and the San Jose SaberCats announced today that wide receiver Reggie Gray has earned the AFL's Cutters Catch of the Week honors for his highlight reel grab in the waning seconds of the squads 48-47 loss to the Pittsburgh Power this past weekend.
Gray (5-10, 185, Western Illinois) finished the game as the clubs leading receiver, hauling in 12 catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns. It was his final catch and second touchdown of the night that earned him the Cutters Catch of the Week. With eight seconds left on the clock in the fourth quarter, Gray cut right towards the boards in the end zone, and quarterback Nathan Stanley, under pressure, fired a pass to the diving Gray on tight coverage. He hauled it in with one hand as he dove over the boards, coming up with the spectacular catch as he lay in the stands.
The SaberCats return home to take on the Spokane Shock this Friday, April 4th at 7:30 pm at the SAP Center in San Jose.
