
Jackson and Lindsey Honored by AFL

TAMPA BAY - Storm wide receivers Amarri Jackson and Michael Lindsey were honored for their performance versus the Orlando Predators this past Saturday night. The Arena Football League announced that Jackson was named the Russell Athletic Offensive Player of The Week and Lindsey was named the J. Lewis Small Playmaker of The Week.
Russell Athletic Offensive Player of The Week: Jackson (6-foot-5, 215 lbs., South Florida) reeled in five touchdowns on six receptions in the Storm's 56-52 loss to the Orlando Predators. He finished the night with 83 receiving yards on six receptions. Jackson leads the team with eight total touchdowns, all of which he scored in just two games. His five touchdowns were an AFL single-game high for the season.
J. Lewis Small Playmaker of The Week: Lindsey (6-foot-1, 200 lbs., N.W. Mississippi) had an impact on all aspects of the game in Tampa's 56-52 loss to the Predators. He caught five passes for 108 yards and a touchdown, recorded 114 kickoff return yards on special teams and recorded a tackle and pass breakup on defense. This was his third consecutive and 28th career game in which he compiled 100+ kickoff return yards. He currently leads the team and league with 408 kickoff return yards.
