SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats announced today that they have been assigned Arena Football League veteran offensive lineman Kimani Jones.
"Kimani understands this game very well," said Owner/Head Coach Darren Arbet. "He has a lot of experience in this league, and we believe he will be a great fit with our current roster."

In 2011, also with Kansas City, Jones started 16 contests. In 2010 with the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings, he saw action in 11 games. In his first season in the AFL with the Cleveland Gladiators during the 2008 season, Jones appeared in 16 games and recorded six catches for 20 yards and one touchdown.
Jones was a two-year starter for the Arkansas State Red Wolves. As a senior, he earned First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors.
The SaberCats (2-1) return to the field at 7:30 pm on Friday, April 4th at the SAP Center to take on division rival, the Spokane Shock (1-1).
