Ryan Roobroeck Record Breaking Jersey Auction
March 4, 2024 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Niagara IceDogs News Release
Fans, you are NOT going to want to miss this one.
Want to own a piece of history? BID NOW for the chance to take home the jersey worn by Ryan Roobroeck when breaking the Niagara IceDogs rookie record for most goals scored in a season. The jersey is certified authentic and was worn during the game against the North Bay Battalion on March 3rd, 2024.
At 17:37 of the second period, Ryan stole the puck at the IceDogs blueline from North Bay defender Wyatt Kennedy and burst down the ice on a breakaway. With opponents breathing down his neck, Roobroeck made no mistake and fired a perfectly placed shot, low glove on Battalion goaltender Mike McIvor, that would not be denied. The goal gave him 24 on the season, breaking the rookie record of 23 previously held by Marco Insam and Chris DeSousa. The 2026 NHL Draft eligible forward has already made a name for himself this season, and the scary part? He's only going to keep getting better folks. So make sure you get your bids in, because this jersey is going to be a hot commodity now AND years down the line!
