(Windsor) Spitfires defenseman Ryan Ellis is the Windsor Spitfires Player of the Week as selected by the Spitfires coaching staff for the week ending Sunday, October 5th. Ellis scored two goals and tallied three assists for five points in three games played last week.

Ellis scored one goal in Windsor's 5-1 win versus the Peterborough Petes on October 2nd. The next night, Ellis scored one goal and added two assists en route to being named the first star in Windsor's 4-1 victory over the Oshawa Generals and he finished the week by recording one assist in the Spitfires 7-2 loss to the Barrie Colts on October 4th.

The 17 year-old Freelton, Ontario native currently leads all OHL defencemen in goals scored (5) and points (11) in seven games played this season.
