Chicago Rush News Release

May 18, 2002 – In advance of Saturday's game against the Georgia Force, the Chicago Rush today announced it had activated FB/LB Jamie McGourty from Injured Reserve and signed defensive specialist Larry Casher off Toronto's practice squad. To make room on its 24-man roster, the Rush waived defensive specialist Tristan Moss and announced that FB/LB Andy Chilcote had left the team for personal reasons.

McGourty, the team's starting FB/LB in 2001, missed the team's first four regular season games with a knee injury. Last season, McGourty finished the season as Chicago's leading rusher and third leading tackler.

Casher (5-11, 170, Auburn) was signed to Toronto's practice squad after spending time in camp with the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers.

Moss and Chilcote played in each of Chicago's four regular season games this season, and ranked third and fourth on the team in tackles, respectively.

Kickoff for Saturday's Rush-Force game is set for 7 p.m. at Allstate Arena. Fans wishing to purchase tickets to the game, or any Rush 2002 home game, may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212 or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com.
