Rush ready to rope in a win on Rush Rodeo Night

EDMONTON, ALBERTA- Professional Lacrosse is known for its fast action and hard hits and with the team on the warpath for its first win of the season, Saturday night's game is bound to be filled with all twists and turns you would expect at a rodeo. Saturday is Rush Rodeo Night and the Edmonton Rush is proud to present the Canadian Country Music Association' s Male Artist of the Year George Canyon, who will perform at half-time.

George Canyon has made a huge splash on the country music scene with a number of awards, releases and chart-toppers. He placed second on the USA Network/CMT Canada television show Nashville Star, released his major label debut, One Good Friend, on Universal South, had four top-10 singles on Country radio and won numerous awards, including, five Canadian Country Music Awards, three East Coast Music Awards, the Juno for Country Recording of the Year and a Canadian Radio Music Award. Canyon, who was the Fan's Choice at last year's Canadian Country Music Association and the East Coast Music Association's Entertainer of the Year, has a new single and video out now for the song, "One Good Friend." He is currently nominated for three more East Coast Music Awards, which will be handed out at this month's gala show.

Also performing at the February 11th game is the Canadian Country Music Association's Independent Female Artist of the Year Lisa Hewitt, who will sing the Canadian national anthem.

The Edmonton Rush is also pleased to give away a WAVE travel trailer by THOR California from the game-day presenting sponsor Western RV Country. Ten lucky finalists will be randomly selected by section and seat number and will have a chance to try a key in the door of the trailer at the end of the game. The person whose key opens the door will win this amazing prize.
