Edmonton Rush News Release

EDMONTON, ALBERTA- The Edmonton Rush were informed yesterday by memorandum from the NLL's, VP of Operations, Brian Lemon of a disciplinary action for the game played on February 3, 2006 against the Minnesota Swarm.

Rush offensive player Trent Smalley received a game misconduct prior to the ball dropping at last Friday's game under rule 79 (G) such action then furthers a one game suspension under rule 79 (G).

The disciplinary action was served to Trent Smalley after he tussled with Swarm Captain Ryan Cousins before the official ball was dropped. The two former roommates last year exchanged a few pleasant words to each other at the restraining line, then tapped each other with their sticks, and then dropped the gloves for a unfriendly battle.

Smalley will serve his one game suspension against the Toronto Rock, this Saturday, February 11, 2006.

George Canyon, Canadian Country Music Award winner, Fan-voted Cheez Whiz Fans' Choice Award, Single of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and SOCAN Song of the Year will perform at half time. Also, one of Canada's brightest new country stars, Lisa Hewitt will perform the anthem.
