TULSA, OK - The Rapid City Rush shutout Tulsa to give the Oilers their first home loss of the season, Wednesday night at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

After killing off a Tulsa power-play, the Rush broke a scoreless tie on their first man-advantage, when Brendan Walker snapped a shot into the top corner of the net. Rapid City led 1-0 after one, although the Oilers held a 11-8 shots advantage.

Tulsa peppered Rush goaltender Adam Morrison for 17 shots in the middle period, but couldn't find the equalizer. Then, Rapid City capitalized on a center-ice turnover that led to a 3-on-1 rush, when Mark Cooper lifted the puck into a wide open net from low in the right circle to make it 2-0. Morrison stopped all 28 Oilers shots through two periods.

Both goaltenders stopped every shot in the final frame, solidifying Rapid City's 2-0 victory.

The Oilers and Rush meet again Friday at 7:05pm at the BOK Center in the second of three total meetings. The two teams will face-off one last time in Tulsa February 17 . Sunday, the Oilers welcome the Allen Americans back to the BOK Center at 4:05pm . Last time the two rivals met, Tulsa defeated Allen 3-2 on October 25. After Sunday's game, fans will be able to skate with the players on the BOK Center ice.
