June 15, 2006 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Chicago Rush News Release
Due to an overwhelming response from its fans, the Chicago Rush announced today its ArenaBowl celebration is being moved to Allstate Arena.
The public celebration of the team's ArenaBowl XX title still will be held on Thursday, June 22, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event will feature Rush team captains Bob McMillen, John Moyer and Etu Molden, along with other members of the Rush team, the Adrenaline Rush Dancers, the team's mascot, Grabowski, and, of course, the ArenaBowl trophy.
At the celebration fans will have the opportunity to pose for pictures with the trophy, get autographs and purchase ArenaBowl XX merchandise - including a commemorative poster featuring images from the championship game.
The Rush defeated the Orlando Predators 69-61 Sunday in Las Vegas to capture the ArenaBowl XX title. The win capped an amazing playoff run in which the underdog Rush won three consecutive road games on its way to the championship game.
