New Jersey Pride News Release
PRIDE FACE PHILADELPHIA ON THURSDAY, JULY 26 - GAME TO BE PLAYED AT YURCAK FIELD
For the second Thursday in a three week stretch the New Jersey Pride will play the Philadelphia Barrage in the ESPN2 Game of the Week. The only difference between this meeting and the last one between the two squads is the Pride will be the "away" team as they take the field at Yurcak Field. Due to a scheduling conflict in Philadelphia, the televised game will be played at the home of the Pride beginning at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the game have been discounted to $10 and the entire stadium is General Admission, so arrive early to secure the best seat in the house. SCHERR AND DEFENSE STOP LIZARDS
Goalie Rob Scherr continued his strong season recording 23 saves en route to being named Bud Light MVP as the Pride defeated the Long Island LIzards on Saturday night at Yurcak Field. The Pride, who up to the game had not yet recorded a two-point goal, scored three in the victory, including the first of Kyle Harrison's career. Offensively the team was paced by Conor Ford's six points. The win moved the Pride up to 3-6 on the season.
FINAL HOME GAME OF 2007 SEASON ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 4
The Pride will host the Eastern Division-leading Rochester Rattlers on Saturday, August 4 at 7:30 pm at Yurcak Field on the campus of Rutgers University. The game will mark the end of five consecutive games played at the team's home field. Rochester is led by Casey Powell, Brodie Merrill, and John Grant, Jr. and is currently leading the MLL in offensive output. The game will mark the first chance for Pride fans to see legendary Casey Powell playing in New Jersey since the 2005 season. For tickets, contact the Pride Offices at 973-614-1792.

NB ZIP MLL CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND TO BE HELD IN ROCHESTER
The 2007 NB ZIP MLL Championship Weekend will be held at Rochester's PaetecPark over the weekend of August 25 and 26. The Semi-Finals will take place on Saturday, August 25. For the first time in league history the Championship Game will be played the day immediately following the Semis.
