PRIDE HOST BOSTON ON SATURDAY NIGHT IN RE-MATCH FROM LAST WEEK

Coming off the win last Saturday in Boston, the Pride will once again face the Cannons on Saturday night at Yurcak Field. The game will begin at 7:30 pm. Boston brings one of the most dynamic players in the game to town as Mikey Powell leads the Cannons on and off the field. Fans will get a chance to see Powell's ankle-breaking speed in New Jersey for the first time of his professional career. Can't make the game? Fans can listen to the game on NJIR.net with Joe Nolan and Keith Glock. The broadcast will begin at 7:00 pm with the Pre-Game Show.

NEW JERSEY'S DEFENSE PUSHES TEAM TO WIN IN BOSTON

In Major League Lacrosse it is not often that 13 goals will get you a win, but when your defense can hold the opponent to 10 goals your prospects for a "W" are great. That is what happened last Saturday in Boston as the Pride, behind the work of Goalie Rob Scherr defeated the Cannons 13-10. The Pride were paced offensively by Conor Ford's 5 goals.

The New Jersey Pride annouced today the release of tickets for online sale through the organization's partnership with ETix. New for the 2007 season, fans can now purchase season tickets for the Pride through the online service.

HOME SWEET HOME

BIG MONTH AHEAD AS PRIDE PREPARES FOR 5 CONSECUTIVE GAMES AT YURCAK FIELD

Saturday's game against Boston kicks-off an unprecendented five-game home stand for the Pride. With the additiion of the Pride/Barrage game on July 26 (originally scheduled to be played at Philadelphia), the Pride will now host two nationally televised ESPN2 games from Yurcak Field. COLLINIATES NAMED CASCADE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Coming off a game where he won 15-23 faceoffs and scored his first career goal, Chris Colliniates was named the Cascade Rookie of the Week. The award is selected by the MLL office and Commissioner David Gross.

HARRISON NAMED 2007 ALL-STAR

On a roster of superstars built around the idea of working as a team, Kyle Harrison was the only Pride player selected to the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game being played on July 8 in Boston. It is the first time in Harrison's career that he has been honored to play in the game representing the best in the league. Harrison played in last year's game representing the US National Team.

SNUBBED! BOLAND LEFT OFF ALL-STAR ROSTER

Despite leading the team in scoring through the first six games, and placing him second in the league in scoring among midfielders, Kevin Boland's name was not among the named players for next week's All-Star Game. Newjerseypride.com's Bobby Ingram spoke with Boland about his being left off the roster.

NB ZIP MLL CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND TO BE HELD IN ROCHESTER

The 2007 NB ZIP MLL Championship Weekend will be held at Rochester's Paetec Park over the weekend of August 25 and 26. The Semi-Finals will take place on Saturday, August 25. For the first time in league history the Championship Game will be played the day immediately following the Semis.
