July 14, 2003 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Laredo Bucks News Release

The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League have signed left wing Bobby Chad Mitchell to a contract for the 2003-2004 season. Mitchell is the fourth rookie and the seventh player overall signed by the Bucks for their second CHL season.

Mitchell racked up 300 penalty minutes to go along with 12 goals and nine assists last season as a member of the Nipawin Hawks of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. He spent the previous four seasons with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League. His highest point totals came in 2000-2001 when he scored nine goals and added 12 assists for a total of 21 points. In 201 career games with Moose Jaw, Mitchell accumulated 561 penalty minutes.

"Bobby Chad has very good size, and he has major junior experience," says Head Coach/General Manager Terry Ruskowski. "He's the type of guy who will be an enforcer for us. He is a very physical player who plays hard and physical, and when it comes to sticking up for his teammates, he's there to do that also."

The deadline for Laredo Bucks Dance Team registration is TODAY AT 5:00PM! Auditions will be held at 8:00am on Saturday, July 19 at the Laredo Entertainment Center. For ticket information from the Laredo Bucks, the CHL Franchise of the Year, call (956) 718-BUCKS or visit www.laredobucks.com.
