
RSL Counting down to Pioneer Day Extravaganza

SALT LAKE CITY (Wednesday, July 20, 2005) - The countdown to Real Salt Lake's historic Pioneer Day summer soccer explosion at Rice-Eccles Stadium is in its last four days. The night will be filled with world-class soccer and Utah's most spectacular fireworks show, which is presented by Siegfried and Jensen, KSL 5 TV and Simmons Radio Group. The schedule for the Pioneer Weekend celebration is as follows:
CARNIVAL REAL - 5:30 P.M. MT: RSL fans need to arrive early to participate in Pioneer Day Carnival Real celebrations! Kids of all ages can test their skills at this interactive soccer area, while food and entertainment are available for patrons of all ages. Carnival Real includes soccer kick and bounce-house inflatables, street performers, face painting, and live music and radio remotes. The festivities are located in the Olympic Cauldron Park on the south side of the stadium. During Carnival Real, 15 "Golden Tickets" will be distributed to RSL fans who will have the opportunity to qualify to compete in the LoveSac Relay Race.
DRIBBLE, PASS & SCORE - 5:45 P.M.-6:30 P.M. MT: RSL invites boys and girls ages 6-14 to participate in Major League Soccer's FREE youth skills competition - the Sierra Mist Dribble, Pass & Score starting at 5:45 p.m. MT on the Southeast corner of the field. Put your skills to the test against other boys and girls for a chance to compete in the National Finals of the Sierra Mist Dribble, Pass & Score at MLS Cup(tm) 2005.
POST GAME CELEBRATION - 9:30 P.M. MT: LoveSac kicks off the post game festivities when the SacMan, LoveSac's skydiver, will glide into Rice-Eccles Stadium from 3,000 feet parachuting onto the field. SacMan will initiate the LoveSac Relay Race where 12 participants chosen during Carnival Real will compete in a race to build a LoveSac with the winners receiving a LoveSac and the opportunity to watch the Fireworks Extravaganza from the field. Runner-ups in the LoveSac Relay Race will receive a $100 coupon to a LoveSac store. Other awards include prizes from Kentucky Fried Chicken and Phone Directories Company.
FINAL FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA - 10:00 P.M. MT: Real Salt Lake invites the
Utah community to experience the final fireworks extravaganza and the
start of a Pioneer Day tradition after the RSL game against the Western
Conference leaders FC Dallas on Saturday, July 23 at 10:00 pm MT. The
July 23 fireworks show is presented by Siegfried and Jensen, KSL 5 TV
and Simmons Radio Group. Ticket prices for the fireworks extravaganza is
$14 for north goal, $18 for corner flag, $25 for premier east and $32
for VIP west, and can be purchased by visiting the Utah Ticket Office at
451 South 1400 East, logging onto www.utahtickets.com
SINGLE-GAME TICKETS ON SALE: Real Salt Lake single-game tickets for its
inaugural 2005 season at Rice-Eccles Stadium continue to be on sale both
online and at the University of Utah Ticket Office, located at the
Stadium's south end. Individual game prices are $14 for north goal, $18
for corner flag, $25 for premier east and $32 for VIP west. Individual
game tickets can be purchased by visiting the Utah Ticket Office at 451
South 1400 East, by logging onto www.utahtickets.com

REAL ELITE TRAINING PROGRAM: The Real Elite Training Program is a
progressive summer training program for boys and girls ages 8-16 with
previous playing experience and a strong desire to reach their maximum
potential. There are a total of 20 sessions, three days a week and two
hours per day. The benefits of the program include: exposure to the
highest level of training; specializing in technique, tactic, fitness
and teamwork; training from RSL soccer players and coaches; and adidas
