
Rough Riders Enter into Strategic Alliance

Long Island Rough Riders News Release
(Central Islip, NY, Nov. 18, 2003) - Frank Boulton, CEO and principal owner of the Long Island Rough Riders, announced today that he has entered into a two-year operating agreement with Globall FC president Peter Zaratin to run the day-to-day operations of the Rough Riders; Long Island's only professional soccer team. Boulton also announced that Jim Kilmeade, the original GM of the Rough Riders, would return to the organization.
"I am very excited that Jim has accepted the GM position," said Zaratin. "I am confident the Rough Riders will continue to grow under his leadership."
Kilmeade will oversee all aspects of the Rough Riders operation, while Boulton will remain principal owner of the USL franchise during the term of this agreement. Globall FC also has an option to purchase a majority interest in the team. Globall FC is headquartered in Plainview with offices at Mitchel Field in Uniondale, N.Y., the home of the Rough Riders.
Established in 1994, The Long Island Rough Riders were inducted into the United Soccer League Hall of Fame on November 8 in Clearwater, Fla. The franchise won the Pro League National Championship in 1995. In 2002, the Rough Riders would return to the third division, where they would win their second championship seven years later under former player turned head coach Paul Riley.
