
Rough Riders Announce 3v3 Tournament Series

(Plainview, N.Y., March 10, 2004) The Long Island Rough Riders and "Quad Soccer Performance Arena" today announced the Rough Riders / Quad Soccer Pre-Game 3v3 Shoot-Out Tournament Series. It will be held prior to the first seven Rough Riders home games at Mitchel Athletic Complex.
The tournament will be open to both boys and girls ages U11 to U14. Games will be held in Quad Soccer's inflatable soccer fields in front of the Rough Riders Stadium. Teams will be guaranteed six games, played over three dates. Tournament participants will receive admission to the Long Island Rough Riders game the evening of their Shoot-Out games.
Also included is admission to the Rough Riders game against the New York MetroStars on July 13th. This day will coincide with the Shoot-Out Finals. Each participant will receive a tournament t-shirt and prizes will be awarded to division winners.
Cost for the tournament will be $195 per team. The Shoot-Out will be open to the first 60 teams. Teams will be limited to a maximum of 7 members per team.
The Long Island Rough Riders' General Manager Jim Kilmeade is excited to provide the community with a fun activity for the whole family. "In the afternoon the kids can improve their skills competing with other players, with their parents watching them. Afterwards the whole family can have some fun watching the pro team." Gregg Satzinger, head of Quad Soccer, appreciates the cooperation. "We are happy to join the Rough Riders organization in utilizing our inflatable fields and interactive games for their 3v3 pre-game tournament this spring. Good luck to all the players!"
