The Dayton Demonz used a sparkling performance by Jeff Rose to take down the 1000 Islands Privateers, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Dayton's 8-0 shutout victory.
The Demonz were led by Brian Marks, who tallied one goal and one assist. Marks scored 4:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dayton. Lucas Schott provided the assist.
Dayton made Privateers' goaltenders to work all game long, ripping 33 shots and forcing 25 saves. Matt Anthony made four stops and Michael DiLorenzo made 21.
Dayton also got points from Schott, who also had one goal and two assists, Jason Hill, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Luke Flicek, who also by CouponDropDown" id"_GPLITA_1">registered one goal and two assists, Ahmed Mahfouz, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Jesse Felten, who also had one goal and one assist, and Nicholas Petriello, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Peter Cintala also scored for Dayton. Other players who recorded assists for Dayton were Terry Watt and Trevor Karasiewicz, who each chipped in one.
Rose rejected 26 shots on goal for the Demonz.
