Creating a culture of success on and off the field, elevating the game, and providing access + opportunity. COPA and Oakland Genesis are changing the game in their own way in the East Bay and beyond.

When speaking about Oakland Genesis and what continues to push the organization towards their mission co-founder and former Roots player Matt Fondy reflects, "There's elements of affirmation and elements of inspiration".

Oakland Genesis Soccer Club Team training at COPA - working on communication, passing, and reactive agility with a ball at their feet in the Double SpeedCourt.

Oakland Genesis paves the way for youth in Oakland to play soccer, receive professional coaching, while working on academic and personal development along the way. COPA STC and OGSC teamed up for a few days to train in COPA's technology to help build team chemistry, technical skill, and have some fun!

Coach Fondy reflected on some of the affirmation he's experienced "Over 75% of our players were not playing on a club soccer team before and they are all talented and passionate soccer players. Over 60% need transportation support to make being on a team work."

On the pitch - by coming together organizations like COPA STC and OGSC can help these players reach their potential and realize their dreams through the support of elite level training environments

Each day we are constantly inspired by each other and organizations like OGSC and COPA STC can be integral to empower more youth to dream big and grow on and off the field.
