Columbus, GA - The Columbus Wardogs announce that nationally acclaimed music artist and DJ Roonie G. is returning as the team's Music Director for the 2003 season. The team also announces that veteran radio personality Al Haynes will serve as the P.A. Announcer for the upcoming year.
Roonie G. will be responsible for playing all the music, entertaining the fans and "raising the roof" at all eight Wardogs home games at the Columbus Civic Center. In addition to winning dozens of regional and national awards over the past 15 years, he has produced and remixed music for several national recording labels and artists. He currently travels the world as the official demonstrator for the Pioneer "Pro DJ" line of electronics. He is also the operator and resident DJ at "Twisters" nightclub in Columbus.
Al Haynes has been a radio personality in Columbus for over 20 years. He can currently be heard on the 3-7pm shift on the Wardogs' flagship station, Boomer 95.3 FM. In addition to his on-air duties, Al serves as the Program Director and Music Director for WCGQ 107.3 FM, and as the Assistant Operations Manager for all of the Archway Broadcasting stations in Columbus.
