PORTLAND, OR - Portland's Arena Football franchise announced today it has agreed to terms with cornerback Jumanne Robertson. Robertson enters his rookie season in the AFL after playing collegiately at Utah State University.

After transferring to Utah State from Phoenix (AZ) Community College, Robertson (5-11, 185, Utah State) quickly became a fixture in the Aggies defense. He served as a starter in the secondary in his first season, earning a spot atop the depth chart over teammate Will Davis, who eventually was selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. As a junior in 2011, Robertson led the defense with 12 pass breakups while adding 48 tackles.

"Jumanne is physical player with great size," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "He's willing to challenge anyone that lines up across from him and performs well in man-to-man coverage. Jumanne is a hard worker and I know he's excited to get back on the field."

Portland opens its inaugural season at the Moda Center in March of 2014. For information on season tickets, call 503-773-4AFL. For the latest news and information, visit PortlandAFL.com or facebook.com/PDXAFL and follow the team on Twitter and Instagram (@portlandafl).
