
Ron "Jaws" Jaworski and Larry Bowa to Co-Captain Star-Studded Softball Game for Charity

Camden, NJ, April 12, 2012 - ESPN NFL Analyst Ron Jaworski and Former Phillie Manager and MLB Network Analyst Larry Bowa will lead two star-studded celebrity teams on the softball diamond to support two area non-profit organizations - Jaws Youth Playbook and Kisses for Kyle Foundation.
The game will be played on July 11, 2012 at Campbell's Field, home of the Camden Riversharks professional baseball team, as a prelude to the Atlantic League All-Star Game, presented by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, which will begin at 7:05 p.m. The softball game will begin at 5:00 p.m. with gates to open at 4:00 p.m.
Larry Bowa will co-captain "The Champions", which will be managed by Michael Barkann and fielded with players from the Phillies 1980 and 2008 World Series Championship teams. Ron Jaworski will co-captain "The Legends team", which will be managed by Ike Reese and comprised of Philadelphia area legendary sports stars.
"I am so excited to work with Larry and our celebrity friends to raise funds for two important causes," said Ron Jaworski, President of Jaws Youth Playbook. "Campbell's Field is an amazing setting for this showdown and I guarantee it will be an awesome experience for the fans."

The list of athletes, former athletes and media personalities who will join Jaws and Bowa in the "Legends vs Champions" celebrity softball game is growing. The roster will be continually updated at JawsSoftball.com.
The 4-inning condensed game will utilize standard softball rules and a temporary wall on the field. To have an opportunity to shine, every celebrity player will bat during each inning. Prepare to see humorous antics during and between innings. Spectators are encouraged to visit the silent auction on the concourse level and enjoy the celebrity softball game complete with fan/player interaction between innings and a jersey auction after the game.
