Charlotte Sting News Release
Romeo, the youngest solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, will perform a postgame concert following the Charlotte Sting home game on July 17 against the Houston Comets. Romeo made his music debut at age 11, and his first hit single, "My Baby," went to #1 on three different Billboard charts. In 2001, he won Billboard Music Awards for Rap Artist of the Year and Rap Single of the Year for "My Baby." Romeo, now 15, also co-stars with his father, Master P, in the television show, "Romeo!" on Nickelodeon.
The game is also a Family Fun Sunday, allowing kids 14 and under free admission with a paying adult (limit two kids per adult; not valid on previously purchased tickets). A Fan Fest with free games and activities will be held on the concourse prior to the game.
Head & Shoulders will provide Charlotte Sting team shorts to the first 2,500 fans.
