Rome Gladiators win back to back games

ROME, GA- The Rome Gladiators are starting to look a lot like last year- simply perfect. The Gladiators stayed perfect at home with wins over Gainesville on Friday 103-101 and against Druid City on Saturday 90-88.

Friday night saw three players put up double digit points. Trent Eager led the way with 19 points followed by Shaun Fountain with 18 points and 8 assist. Lamar Castile followed with 11 points.

Saturday night opened with special ceremony for the men and women of the armed forces and was followed by a nail biting game! The Gladiators saw a 18 point lead diminish to 2 points before finally pulling away. Rome was lead in scoring again by Trent Eager who put up 19 points and 2 steals. Also in double digit scoring was Shaun fountain with 18 points and 8 steals, and Lamar Castile put up 11 points.

The Rome Gladiators return to action for back to back games next week at the Winthrop-King Centre on the campus of Shorter College. On Wednesday night the Gladiators will face the Marietta Storm who dress two members of last years Gladiators championship team: Majic Dorsey and Jamerio Moon. ( A WBA press release was issued on Sunday noting that on the cover of next months ESPN The Magazine will be Majic Dorsey!)

On Thursday Rome will face the Cleveland Magic.

Both start times are 7:00 and ticket prices will only be $5!
