Rome Gladiators voted #1 minor league basketball team in USA

ROME, GA- The Rome Gladiators received news on Friday that it was ranked the #1 minor league basketball team in the county! According to ProbasketballNews.com the Gladiators who previously held the #2 spot finally got the top ranking after three years of existence. "We started off the worst team in our league three years ago and now to be ranked the best in the county says a lot for our team, coaches, staff and ownership."- Head Coach/General Manager Harold Ellis. This is the first time Rome has achieved this ranking. "It is a great accomplishment. We are a team of guys that work for the betterment of the entire team. We don't have that one guy who wants to be the star; they simply all just want to win." Ellis said.
The Gladiators have showed improvements on and off the court as their sponsorships have grew to 20 sponsors for this season. "The businesses, government officials and most importantly the people of Rome and Floyd County have opened up their arms for our organization and it shows!"- Tony Potts, Local Operations Manager
