Rome Gladiators Open with HUGE WIN!

ROME, GA- The Rome Gladiators opened the 2006 Season with a big win over the Griffen Warriors 99-89in front of 1,009 Fans at The Winthrop-King Center at Shorter College. The Gladiators were led by new comer Ray Cunningham with 22 points. Rome also had three other players in double digit points: TJ Thompson had 15, Carl Edwards with 14 and Lamar Castille with 11. Former Gladiator Bobby Brown led Griffen with 26 points. Also former Coosa High School standout and current Griffen Warrior, Mike Dean ended the night with 15 points. Rome hosts Murphreesboro, Tenn., on Thursday at Shorter at 7 p.m.
