Rome Braves High School Invitational Announced

Rome, GA - The Atlanta Braves caravan visited Rome Monday to help kick off the first Rome Braves High School Invitational to be played at State Mutual Stadium on Saturday March 3rd. Brian McCann, Dan Uggla, Chipper Jones, along with manager Fredi Gonzalez and Executive Vice President and General Manager Frank Wren attended the luncheon with baseball teams from Model, Pepperell, Armuchee, and Coosa high schools in attendance.

The March 3rd event will feature two games, Armuchee versus Pepperell at noon and Model versus Coosa at 5:30PM. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the local baseball programs.

The Rome Braves begin their 2012 home schedule on April 12th against Charleston, SC as the team enters its tenth season. For ticket information call 706-378-5144.
