September 12, 2006 - USL First Division (USL-1)
Vancouver Whitecaps News Release
Thank you for your ongoing support of the Whitecaps this season. With your support, the Whitecaps Women won the W-League Championship and the Men finished the season in 4th place, and the best home record in the league! The men now enter the playoffs on a high, going 5-1-2 in their last eight, including two convincing home wins last weekend.
Don't miss the Whitecaps first round playoff match, as World Cup legend Romario and Miami FC come to town this Friday at 7pm! The Brazilian International finished tied for first in the league with 18 goals and is nearing the magic 1000 career professional goals that only the great Pele has achieved. If you were one of the fortunate to attend Miami's last visit to Swangard in June, you'll remember that the atmosphere was electric, with two dramatic goals scored in penalty time. That game was a sell-out so be sure to get your tickets early!
Caps Insiders will receive a special discount for tickets to this game. Save up to 25% off regular ticket prices (as low as $12!), using the password 'INSIDE'.
