Medford Rogues News Release
Medford, Oregon - The Medford Rogues and ACCESS proudly announced today the launch of the "Pay It Forward" Ticket Program.
New for the 2016 season, any season ticket holders; individual or corporate, can drop off any spare game tickets to ACCESS to be distributed to families and individuals who can't afford any means of entertainment.
"We are excited to continue to grow our partnership with ACCESS and connect our fans and sponsors with the important work they do" said Acting General Manager Carolyn Birch. "We continue to strive to find new ways to give back to the community that supports us".
The Rogues and ACCESS will again join forces for the second annual Christmas in July event on July 16 to garner food donations, funds and awareness during the time of year there is the most need.
The "Pay It Forward" ticket program will provide ACCESS clients of all ages a chance to experience a baseball game, possibly for the first time. This is especially exciting for children who can participate in a community event that focuses on family values and activities,"Â commented Pam Slater, ACCESS Development Director. She continues, "We appreciate the Rogues and their sponsors for including us, and want to commend them for their community support to benefit low-income residents."
The Medford Rogues not only are successful on the field, but also strive to help the Rogue Valley beyond the diamond as well. Throughout the Rogues' inception in 2013, they have given back over $100,000 to the community through fundraisers, jersey auctions, sponsorships and donations.
Through three theme nights in 2015, the Rogues were able to include their fans in donating to various community groups in the Rogue Valley.
Paint the Park Pink benefitted the Leila J. Eisenstein Breast Center at Providence. Harry and David Field will be painted pink again in 2016 on June 25. The Rogues also hosted Military Night in 2015 and wore special edition camo jerseys that were also auctioned off after the game. The Rogues will honor our military again this year on July 9 with pregame ceremonies and camo jerseys that will be auctioned during the game with proceeds going to veterans' charities in Southern Oregon. New to 2016 will include Star Wars Night benefitting Hearts with a Mission on June 18 and Bark in the Park benefitting Southern Oregon Humane on August 2.
Through the Rogues' fundraising program, even more groups have become involved, such as CATS, Logos Charter School, Ashland Elks Club and Farmington Square. The upcoming 2016 season will bring even more community groups into the ballpark including Southern Oregon Humane Society, Oak Grove Elementary, Sanctuary Farm, Hearts with a Mission, Hope Therapy, Pathway Enterprises and Rogue Community Health, among many others.
If you are interested in fundraising for your community group or organization, the Rogues would love to be a part of that. Please contact the office (541) 973 2883 or email info@medfordrogues.com.
