Rogues Sweep Potters, Move to 2nd Place

LINCOLN, Ca. - The day after setting a franchise record for most hits in a game (21), the Rogues collected 19 hits to sweep the Potters and gain sole possession of second place in the Great West League.

Rogues Designated hitter Tanner Cantrell (Montana-State Billings) hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning.

Tommy Ahlstrom (Simpson University) singled in his first two plate appearances to set a new Rogues record for the most consecutive at bats with a base hit (8).

Medford native Cole Carder (Antelope Valley) singled up the middle to score catcher Joe Bath (Lewis-Clark State) in the second inning to extend his hitting streak to 13 games.

The Rogues will have the day off tomorrow before returning home on Friday, June 29th to kick-off another jam-packed weekend series against the first place Chico Heat. The first 500 fans in attendance to Friday's home game will receive a FREE Rowdy Championship Bobblehead, presented by Rogue Credit Union. Get your tickets to Friday's double-header HERE.

Friday, June 29th will also be a double-header to make up for the rain out on June 17th. The purchase of one Friday ticket is good for both games. Saturday, June 30th is Military Appreciation Night at Harry & David Field. Service members who show their valid military I.D. will get in for FREE! Your Rogues will be wearing special Military-themed jerseys which will be put up for auction during the game. 100% of the proceeds from the auction will benefit Rogue Valley Veterans Community Outreach.

There will also be a special pre-game ceremony, including a fly-over during the singing of our nation's anthem.
