Rogues Return All-Star Duo For 2017 Season
MEDFORD, Ore. - The Medford Rogues are excited to welcome back two key position players to the 2017 roster. Johnny DeLaCruz (Univ. of Louisiana-Monroe) and Connor Lowrie (Blackhawk Jr. College) are returning Rogues who played in the inaugural Great West League All-Star Game in 2016.
Johnny DeLaCruz - Utility Infielder Fan favorite, Johnny DeLaCruz will return for another summer with the Medford Rogues. Prior to this past weekend's Sunbelt Conference series with Little Rock, DeLaCruz had started all 22 games for University of Louisiana-Monroe. In his junior season, DeLaCruz is hitting .277 for the Warhawks in 83 at-bats with a team-leading four stolen bases. Last season for the Rogues, the GWL All-Star played in 44 games, hitting .279 with 43 hits, 25 RBI's and four home runs.
Connor Lowrie - Outfielder 2016 Great West League All-Star Connor Lowrie is in his sophomore season at Blackhawk College (Illinois). Lowrie has played in all seven games for the Braves this season, hitting .304 with seven hits and three stolen bases. During the 2016 summer campaign with the Rogues, Lowrie had 38 hits, 28 RBIs and three home runs.
