Rogers helping Gwizzlies

Roy Rogers, former University of Alabama standout and former top NBA draft pick for Vancouver Grizzlies, started his career as a coach last week with the Gwizzlies and is now working as a developmental coach for the Gwinnett Gwizzlies.

Rogers was a college teammate of Letrell Sprewell and Robert Horry.Each friday evening from 6:00 and until 8:00,Coach Rogers sends the Gwizzlies summer pro league team ballplayers through a workout.

He will be a staff coach at one of the Gwizzlies summer pro leagues tounaments in Long Beach or Owensboro. Gwizzlies officials think Rogers is already making waves with the ballplayers,personel and watchful fans as he bring a NBA approach to the Gwizzlies workouts.
