LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 2-1-0 OVERALL RECORD: 8-16-3, 19 pts., 4th Place Northwest Division

Dec. 27 @ Arizona Sundogs, 5-3 Loss - Mark Wires scored two goals a team-record 14 seconds apart to slice a 3-0 second period deficit to a one-goal margin, but the Sundogs responded with a short-handed goal to re-gain the momentum in an eventual 5-3 defeat for the Rage.

Dec. 29 vs. Austin Ice Bats, 2-1 Win - Trailing 1-0 early in the second period, defensemen Dan Vandermeer and Adam Stefishen each scored their first goals of the season three minutes apart to vault Rocky Mountain into the lead. Goaltender David Guererra stopped 29 of 30 shots, including all 13 he faced in the third period to preserve the team's first win since Dec. 2.

Dec. 31 @ Oklahoma City, 3-2 Shootout Win - The Rage closed-out 2006 with back-to-back victories after Anders Strome and Bret DeCecco both scored in the third period as the teams eventually reached overtime. Following a scoreless extra session, Dominic Noel then notched the game-winner in the shootout to help Rocky Mountain capture its first road win since the opening night of the season.

NOTES

* The Rage snapped two lengthy losing skids last week. The win against Austin broke an eight-game (0-7-1) slide overall and Sunday's win in Oklahoma City ended a run of 14 games (0-12-2) without a win on the road.

* Rocky Mountain has won four of five shootouts this season, including four in a row. Bret DeCecco leads the CHL with his five shootout goals - he's a perfect five-for-five - and David Guererra is 4-0 between the pipes.

* The two wins last week marked the club's first two-game winning streak since back-to-back victories on Nov. 25 (7-2 vs. Colorado) and Nov. 28 (4-3 vs. New Mexico in a shootout).

* Anders Strome (13g-9a) and Mark Wires (9g-13a) are tied for the team scoring lead with 22 points apiece.

* With Dan Vandermeer and Adam Stefishen scoring on Friday, every Rage player has now lit the lamp this season at least once.

* The Rage will spend lots of time at Broomfield Event Center during 2007 as Sunday's win in Oklahoma City completed fully one-half of the team's 32-game road schedule this season.
