
Rockstars training camp has top players

Chicago, IL. The ABA Chicago Rockstars announced that Sherrell Ford, Thomas Hamilton, Imari Sawyer, Kevin Turner, Najeeb Echols and Jerry Gee are among thos invited to the teams training camp that started last night.
Ford enjoyed a career that included the NBA Seattle Supersonics and several international teams. Hamilton played with the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets as well as internationally. Turner was a standout shooting guard and Gee was a dominant power forward for the 1997 co-Big Ten Champion Fighting Illini. Gee was also a former 1994 Illnois Mr. Basketball, an award that is given to the best high school player in the state.
Echols and Sawyer are two of the best players to come out of Illinois high school basketball in the last few years. Sawyer was a standout point guard for the Depaul Blue Demons and Echols was a force at Illinois State University. Camp is at the Northeastern Illinois University's Physical Education Complex.
