Rocklin, Stockton Areas To Host Lightning Tryout Sessions

STOCKTON, Calif. *The Stockton Lightning of the arenafootball2 league have announced the team will hold two preseason player tryout camp sessions for the upcoming 2007 af2 season, scheduled on Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, December 10, 2006.

The open workout sessions will be held at St. Mary's High School in Stockton on November 18 and at Sierra College in Rocklin, Calif. on December 10. Registration will begin for all participants ($40 charge - cash only, must be paid at time of registration) at 10:00 a.m. PT on both days, with the tryouts to follow.

Each individual participant is expected to wear athletic-appropriate clothing, and is responsible for supplying his own football cleats (suitable for natural grass surface).

Details on Lightning head coach Doug Murray's coaching staff for the 2007 af2 season are expected to be announced soon.

In their first season, the Lightning ranked third in af2 attendance with an average of 7,445 fans per home game and recently named Murray as the second Head Coach in team history on September 14. During the off-season, Murray serves as a teacher and varsity football assistant head coach at St. Mary's High.
