Casper, WY - The Casper Rockies are excited to welcome the Governor of the State of Wyoming to the game on Friday, August 18th.

When the Rockies take on the Helena Brewers Friday night, it will mark the first time that Governor Dave Freudenthal will be attending a Casper Rockies game. Freudenthal will be in attendance with the Natrona County Democrats.

Freudenthal took office as the governor in January 2003 as Wyoming's 31st governor. He was born in 1950 in Thermopolis and is the seventh of eight children. He graduated from Amherst College in 1973 before returning to Wyoming as an economist for the Department of Economic Development and Planning. Freudenthal and his wife Nancy have four children, Don, Hillary, Bret and Katie.

"The Casper Rockies are proud to host Governor Freudenthal as he visits Casper," said Casper Rockies General Manager Danny Tetzlaff. "It is a privilege and an honor to have the leader our great state attend a game at Mike Lansing Field."
