Casper Ghosts News Release
The Casper Rockies will end the 2004 season at home starting on Thursday, September 2 against the Provo Angels. After three games against Provo, the Rockies will face the Idaho Falls Chukars in their last two contests. This is the last chance for fans to cheer on their home team. It is also the final opportunity to take part in all the special promotions:
Thursday, September 2 is the final Slocum's Underground "Thirsty Thursday". Draft beers and sodas are only $1 all night long.
Friday, September 3 is the last Family Fun Pack Night. For only $50 fans will receive 4 View tickets to tonight's game, 4 Old Town Golf Passes, 4 Movie Palace Passes, 2 Footlong Blimpie Subs and 4 22oz. Ballpark Sodas. Don't miss out on this great deal!
Saturday, September 4 is the grand finale Fireworks Spectacular sponsored by K2 Television. This is sure to be a fun night with fireworks following the game. Tonight is also a special Downtown Merchants Night. Fans can pick up free game tickets at participating downtown businesses. Plus, there will be a T-Shirt Giveaway to the first 500 fans at the game sponsored by Shirts & More, American Title and Honda of Casper.
Sunday, September 5 Kids can run the bases one last time with Hobart. After the completion of tonight's game kids will be allowed onto the field to run the bases with their favorite Casper Rockies mascot.
Monday, September 6 is the last chance for fans to pick up free game tickets at Biolife Plasma Services. Finally, it is Fan Appreciation Night. The Casper Rockies want to show how much they value their fans by awarding them with lots of great giveaways! This includes a Recliner Giveaway courtesy of Mossholder's Furniture. Fans that purchase a game program can sign up to win the chair.

(NEW!) CASPER ROCKIES LAND TWO ON ALL-STAR TEAM!!
Two Casper Rockies players made the 2004 Pioneer League All-Star Team while numerous others earned honorable mention. The league named outfielder Seth Smith and right-handed starting pitcher Samuel Deduno to the All-Star Team announced today. Deduno also captured Pitcher of the Year honors.
Smith is currently among league leaders in nearly every offensive category. He has one of the top ten batting averages (.365) and slugging percentages (.611). He is tied for first in hits and doubles with 77 and 19 respectively. Smith has the most extra-base hits (31) and the most RBI in the entire league with 58. He also has nine homers on the season.
The 21-year-old Smith played his college ball for Ole Miss before being selected by the Colorado Rockies in the second-round of the 2004 draft. He is 6'3", 215-pounds from Terry, Mississippi.
Samuel Deduno has maintained a commanding lead over the entire Pioneer League all season long in strikeouts. Deduno currently has 90 strikeouts, leading the second place pitcher by 28. Through games of August 18, Deduno is 4-4 with a 3.45 ERA in 57.1 innings of work.
The 21-year-old Deduno was acquired by the Colorado Rockies as a free agent in 2001. He is a 6'1", 170-pound right-hander from San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.
Casper Rockies catcher Ryan Fox, infielder Mike Davies, outfielder Justin Nelson, and starting pitcher Franklin Morales all earned honorable mention. Along with his players, manager PJ Carey also received honorable mention.
The Casper Rockies have had at least one player on the Pioneer League All-Star Team every year since the club's 2001 inaugural season.

Casper Rockies outfielder Seth Smith garnered Player of the Week honors from the Sports Network for the week ending August 15.
For the week, Smith led the entire pioneer league in slugging percentage (1.071) and home runs (4). He also batted .500 and had an impressive .533 on-base-percentage. In addition, Smith finished second in hits with 14, and had four doubles while scoring seven runs.
The 21-year-old Smith hit safely in each of his six games last week, including a 6-for-6 performance against Idaho Falls on August 10, in which he belted a pair of homers and drove in five runs, while also scoring four. As of August 19, Smith is batting .365 with nine homers and 58 RBI.
Smith, who played college ball for Ole Miss, is a 6'3", 215-pound outfielder from Terry, Mississippi. He was the Colorado Rockies second-round pick of the 2004 draft.

CASPER ROCKIES TICKET INFORMATION
Single Game Tickets, Season Tickets, and Bonus Books Are Available!
Casper Rockies single game tickets, season tickets, and bonus books are now available. Single game tickets start at just $7.50 and Season Tickets can be had for as little as $118.13 - the best deal in Professional Baseball! Bonus Books, the most flexible ticket option, include 10 undated general admission game vouchers and are available for only $65. Start time for all games Monday-Saturday is 7:05. Sunday games will begin at 5:05.
All ticket-holders will be eligible to participate in special promotional events, held at each home game throughout the season. Recurring events include:
SUNDAYS - Kids run the bases with Hobart;
BIOLIFE PLASMA MONDAYS - Fans can pick up free tickets at Biolife Plasma Services;
TUESDAYS - "Hit a Homerun with the Eastridge Mall" night,

The Casper Rockies Team Office is located at 330 KATI Lane, adjacent to Mike Lansing Field. All team operations have been moved to the new office, and fans are encouraged to drop in to pick up game schedules, season/single game tickets, bonus books, and official Casper Rockies merchandise. Regular office hours are from 9AM-5PM Monday-Friday. The team office is also open for ticket sales on game days between 9AM and 3PM.
