The Casper Rockies will be receiving a new relief pitcher tonight in Idaho Falls. Former Tri-City Dust Devils reliever, Stephen Edsall, will be joining the team for its final game against the Idaho Falls Chukars tonight during the Rockies six game road trip.

Edsall pitched in 12 games for the Dust Devils, the Single A short-season affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. He posted a 2-0 record with a 3.55 ERA in 25.1 innings of work. He also struck out 23 batters and walked 10 while giving up only 19 hits.

22 year-old Edsall, who played for Rollins College in Florida, was taken by Colorado in the 22nd round of this year's draft. He is a 6'4", 205 pound, right-hander from North Hutchinson Island, Florida.

(NEW!) ROCKIES PITCHER SAMUEL DEDUNO EARNS PIONEER LEAGUE HONORS!!

The Sports Network has awarded Casper Rockies starting pitcher Samuel Deduno with Pioneer League Player of the Week honors for the past week ending August 8.

Deduno led the league with a 2-0 record and a 3.00 ERA. He also led in innings pitched (12), strikeouts (20) and opponents batting average (.116). Deduno allowed only five hits and four earned runs overall last week.

In the Rockies 14-4 win over the Idaho Falls Chukars on August 2, Deduno allowed three runs on only two hits during six innings of work. He also struck out 10 batters and walked just two.

Deduno led the Rockies to another win on August 7 against the Ogden Raptors. In this outing he gave up one earned run and three hits over six innings. More impressively, he once again recorded 10 strikeouts. It was his sixth double-digit strikeout performance of the season and raised his record to 3-3 with a 3.18 ERA. Deduno has maintained a commanding lead over the entire Pioneer League in strikeouts with a current total of 80. Another Rockies starter, Franklin Morales, is second to Deduno with 57 strikeouts.

Deduno is a 6'1", 170 pound right-hander from San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. He is 21-years old and was acquired by the Colorado Rockies as a free agent in 2001.

CASPER ROCKIES TICKET INFORMATION
Single Game Tickets, Season Tickets, and Bonus Books Are Available!
Casper Rockies single game tickets, season tickets, and bonus books are now available. Single game tickets start at just $7.50 and Season Tickets can be had for as little as $118.13 - the best deal in Professional Baseball! Bonus Books, the most flexible ticket option, include 10 undated general admission game vouchers and are available for only $65. Start time for all games Monday-Saturday is 7:05. Sunday games will begin at 5:05.

All ticket-holders will be eligible to participate in special promotional events, held at each home game throughout the season. Recurring events include:

SUNDAYS - Kids run the bases with Hobart;
BIOLIFE PLASMA MONDAYS - Fans can pick up free tickets at Biolife Plasma Services;
TUESDAYS - "Hit a Homerun with the Eastridge Mall" night,

The Casper Rockies Team Office is located at 330 KATI Lane, adjacent to Mike Lansing Field. All team operations have been moved to the new office, and fans are encouraged to drop in to pick up game schedules, season/single game tickets, bonus books, and official Casper Rockies merchandise. Regular office hours are from 9AM-5PM Monday-Friday. The team office is also open for ticket sales on game days between 9AM and 3PM.
