Rockies farm system ranked second by Baseball America

One of the sport's leading publications, Baseball America, recently released their yearly talent rankings, which lists the magazine's opinion of the strength of each major league team's farm system. The Rockies were ranked second out of 30 teams on that list, the organization's highest standing ever in those rankings. Below are a few notes from this year's talent rankings including many former Casper Rockies players, along with the complete list of the teams and Rockies top 30 prospects as designated by Baseball America.

- The Rockies are the top-rated National League team in this year's rankings.

- This is the 3rd straight year for Colorado to place 11th or better and the 4th consecutive year that the Rockies have ranked among the top 15 in this listing...The Rockies are one of just 9 teams to fall in the top 15 each of the last 4 years, one of just 5 such teams in the National League.

- It is the highest ranking ever for the Rockies in the Baseball America listing.
