Rocket Hire Eric Lavigne as New Bench Boss

The PEI Rocket are pleased to announce that Eric Lavigne has been hired as the new Head Coach. "Eric is a well respected coach who has substantial experience in coaching at the Major Junior Level", said President and Governor Serge Savard Jr. "We are very much looking forward to having him join our organization and lead us into the future".
Lavigne has a wealth of experience in the coaching ranks, most recently holding the Head Coach and General Manager position with the Val-d'Or Foreurs from 2005-2009. In 2007, Lavigne led the Foreurs team to an appearance in the QMJHL finals.
Over the past 17 years, Lavigne has built a very successful coaching resume that includes the following:
- 2005-2009 - Head Coach and General Manager - Val-d'Or Foreurs (QMJHL)
- 2002-2005 - Head Coach and Assistant GM - Quebec Remparts (QMJHL)
- 2000-2002 - Head Coach - Quebec Citadelles (AHL)
- 1999-2000 - Assistant Coach - Quebec Citadelles (AHL)
- 1996-1999 - Head Coach and General Manager - University of Trois-Rivieres Patriots (CIS)
- 1992-1995 - Assistant Coach - Beauport Harfangs (QMJHL)
