In the shootout, the Wildcats jumped out to an early lead when Daniel Pettersson scored on the first attempt. Andrej Nestrasil and Travis McIsaac were both stopped in the shootout, but then Philippe Paradise scored on the Rocket final attempt to go another round of shooters.
