P.E.I. Rocket News Release

Budget Car & Truck Rental and the PEI Rocket have teamed up to provide some free tickets to students at Stratford Elementary as part of the Rocket Scientists Program. Budget Car & Truck Rental will provide 100 complimentary tickets for an upcoming PEI Rocket home game to students at Stratford Elementary.

The intent of the Rocket Scientists Performer Program is to provide complimentary tickets to elementary schools on Prince Edward Island to use as rewards for their students. These could be provided for: excellence in academics; excellent work ethic; leadership qualities; or for whatever is deemed appropriate by the administration of the particular school. They are intended to be used to recognize excellence in some form!

"We are proud of this program within the community and we are very pleased to have a great corporate partner like Budget Car & Truck Rental", said GM Kent Hudson. "To be able to work with Budget Car & Truck Rentals on this program is fantastic and will be great for our organization as part of our ongoing community outreach program".

Darrell Kennedy, Owner of Budget Car & Truck Rentals also added, "the Rocket have been great corporate citizens and we are proud to be involved in this very worthwhile program. The team is an important part of our community and we are happy to support them. My wife Cathy and I live in Stratford and we wanted to provide the tickets to a school that is close to our home". Darrell also put a challenge out to other local businesses, "We challenge other businesses and individuals from across PEI to step up and support the Rocket in the same way. Many businesses could provide tickets to schools in their area...it is a great way to recognize the importance of education."
