Rockford IL. - Rock River Raptors and Head Coach / Director of Football Operations Rik Richards are proud to announce some additions to the staff for the 2006 football season. Roger Farrar Jr. as Assistant Director of Football Operations, Jack Albert as Wide Receiver Coach, Todd Allen as Defensive Line Coach, Dave Jones as Offensive Line Coach, and Chris Saddler as an Assistant Coach.

Roger Farrar Jr. joins the Raptors as the Assistant Director of Football Operations. Farrar comes to the Raptors as a former Head Coach of the Rockford Lions, a semi-pro football team. He also owned the Forest City Gladiators / McHenry County Gladiators, a semi-pro Football team. Farrar was a Marine from 1982 to 1984 where he played football. He also played football for Rockford Lutheran High School. He has a degree in Business Management and a minor in Marketing and Finance form Southern Illinois University. Farrar is a native of Rockford Illinois.

Jack Albert joins the Raptors staff handling the wide receivers. Jack Albert comes to the Raptors from the Rockford Regents where he also coached the wide receivers. In addition to working with the Rockford College football team, Albert is an attorney with the local firm of Nicolosi & Associates, P.C. Albert also worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois (1993-94), attorney for the City of Rockford (1995-99) and is currently president of the board of directors for Trinity House, Inc. (a local non-profit agency). Albert played football at the University of Missouri from 1975-76, where he was coached by current Tennessee Titans assistant coach Dave McGinnis. Albert attended high school at Ames High School in Iowa. A native of Defiance, Ohio, Albert earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma (‘81) and his law degree from the University of Tulsa ('91).

Todd Allen joins the Raptors staff handling the defensive line. Allen comes to the Raptors from Rock Valley where he was the defensive line Coach. He was a Head Coach in the Rock Valley Football League from 1998 to 2003. In those five years, he went to the playoffs four years and finished 3rd each trip. He started coaching football as a Defensive Coordinator for St. Bridgett's School. He played linebacker for Ohio State after graduating from Boylan High School. After graduating from Ohio State, he was invited to training camp of the Indianapolis Colts.

Dave Jones joins the Raptors staff as the offensive line coach. Jones comes to the raptors from Auburn High school where he was an Assistant Line Coach. Jones has also coached the offensive line for the Rockford Regents from 2002 to 2004. Jones currently runs his own company Jones-Graphic Consulting, where he is the project manager and consultant.

Chris Saddler joins the Raptors as an Assistant Coach. He presently works for Textron Fastening Systems. Saddler served our Country from 1992-1995 in the U.S. Army. He graduated in 2000 from Rock Valley College. He has been coaching Football the last 5 years in South Beloit.

"Each one of these men has characteristics that are appealing to me as a Head coach," said Richards. Richards went on to say that "they all have a few common bonds that will stick out right away. They all have an unbelievable desire to learn and soak everything up like a sponge and become better football coaches. They are all committed to doing whatever it takes to putting a winner on the field in Rockford and those two qualities are immeasurable." Richards ended by saying that, "I am happy to have all of them on board in our inaugural season."
