New Britain Rock Cats News Release
New Britain, CT - One of the most popular performers on the phenomenally successful television show "Dancing With The Stars" - Irish heartthrob Tristan MacManus - is coming to New Britain Stadium to meet, sign autographs for, and - if time permits - pose for photos with his many fans in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. The handsome 30-year-old star from Dublin, Ireland will be joining the Rock Cats and their fans on Thursday night - June 13th - for an in-person meet-and-greet session on the Stadium's concourse. This very special Ladies' Night appearance will also include Tristan - an avid sports fan - tossing out a ceremonial first pitch before the Rock Cats tangle with the Altoona Curve at 6:35 PM.
Mr. MacManus will be standing in for fellow DWTS performer Val Chmerkovsky who, for reasons beyond the Rock Cats' control, is now unable to make this previously announced appearance.
Tristan is not only great looking but, as fans of the show know, he is an exceptionally talented dancer who has - in his three seasons on DWTS - been paired with such celebrities as Pamela Anderson, Nancy Grace and Dorothy Hamill. Mr. MacManus and Ms. Hamill, the popular Olympic skater, were partners in the current season; Tristan's performance in 2011 earned he and partner Nancy Grace an extended run to the competition's quarterfinal round.
Tristan MacManus has been dancing and pleasing audiences in Ireland, Europe, Australia, and now America since he was a child. His consistently smooth performances have won him Juvenile, Junior and Adult competitions on three continents. While there are no formal plans for him to dance when he visits next month - the friendly excitement that is likely to surround him at New Britain Stadium on Ladies' Night may change that!
