Rock Can Clinch Playoff Spot Saturday

Toronto Rock News Release
Toronto - The Toronto Rock will be in a position to clinch a playoff spot when they return to Air Canada Centre on Saturday night at 6pm against the Edmonton Rush.
A Rock win over the Rush would push Toronto's record to 7-6 on the season. The Rock must then hope for the Wings to beat Buffalo also on Saturday night in order to see Buffalo's record drop to 4-9.
While Toronto and Buffalo could each still finish at 7-9, the Bandits and Washington Stealth still play each other one more time and one of those two teams would end up with a loss as a result of that meeting. That loss by one of Buffalo or Washington would see one team finish with 10 losses and the Rock could finish with no more than 9 losses.
This season, the 5th place team in the West could cross over and become the 4th place seed in the East if they had a better record. A Rock win over Edmonton coupled with the Bandits loss would then mean that the Washington vs. Buffalo game later on the schedule would produce a loser that Toronto would be guaranteed to finish ahead of. Eight of the nine NLL teams will qualify for the post-season.
There are only a limited number of lower bowl seats remaining for Saturday's game between the Rock and the Rush. However, there are many great upper bowl seats available for the Rock's final regular season home game of 2012. For tickets, please call 416-596-3075 or visit www.torontorock.com.
