February 25, 2011 - SPHL (SPHL)
Augusta RiverHawks News Release
The Augusta RiverHawks announced that they have made some transactions Friday afternoon prior to a weekend matchup against the Huntsville Havoc. The RiverHawks have signed defenseman Donny Grover to a three game try-out, while defenseman Joe Tolles and goaltender Adam Avramenko were called up to the Florida Everblades of the East Coast Hockey League.
Also, forward Neil Graham has been returned after a one-game call up to the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL while defenseman Luke Lucyk has been called up by the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Grover is a six-year professional having spent time in the American Hockey League, the ECHL, the United Hockey League, and Europe. Last season Grover had 15 points and 134 penalty minutes in 35 games playing in Denmark.
The moves leave the RiverHawks with one signed goaltender, so another net-minder will be acquired prior to their game Saturday night against the Havoc.
The RiverHawks are back in action at the James Brown Arena Friday, March 18 th as they face the Knoxville Ice Bears. The puck drops at 7:30pm.
